Office Building for Finland Post Corporation, Helsinki, Finland
Upon the decision of Finland Post Corporation to gather all main office and administrative services in Pasila region in Helsinki, an extension to the existing post handling and office building was commissioned. The aim of the new design was to achieve both a modern and timeless image, and a high-standard functional and variable office environment. The half-circle shape was a consequence of wishing to preserve the views from the old building and to emphasize the main office character. The main material of the facades are painted aluminium plates and aluminium grille. The idea in this solution was to continue with the facades' metal cladding, like in the old building, but with a modern look.
