ABOUT

Soininen primary school forms a miniature town, an independent part of the scenic whole. The freely winding external wall brings a sense of unity to the building while creating the small-scale environment proper for children.

The school premises wind around three internal courtyards. The teaching quarters are divided into cells. The cells are the blocks of miniature town. The school forms a whole, the varying and hierarchic spatiality of which brings elements of surprise and intelligibility to the school environment.
